still thinking about finishing

P1050217.jpg
Sanding a piece with emery paper #0. Usually I use #1 before polishing.

P1050222.jpg
Oxidation, this time I soak a piece in chemical for a few minutes. Oxidized surface is very thin.
When I use polishing buff, it is 10 min or longer.

P1050219.jpg
Scrub a piece with muddy charcoal paste.
Charcoal paste works like polishing compound, but it is rougher than Tolipori(common polishing compound)

P1050223.jpg
Wash a piece. Sorry, photos do not show difference of texture.
It is pretty nice, very natural finish. I like this better than shiny high polish.

The best thing is, I can keep edges sharp with this finishing and no more dust of compound in my studio.
